Marilyn Prudence Walker Dennis, 74, a Winnetka native, passed away April 11, 2002 at the Mt. Ascutney Hospital & Health Center in Windsor, Vermont. Mrs. Dennis was born July 30, 1927 in Evanston, IL. She graduated from New Trier High School in Winnetka, IL and later from the University of Colorado. She was employed at the Kidder, Peabody investment banking firm and later worked for the League of Women voters. After her marriage to Joseph Dennis, they lived in Argentina, and subsequently moved to Connecticut before settling in Cornish, New Hampshire. Both she and her husband were devoted readers and were deeply involved in the “Great Books Program.” Mrs. Dennis was predeceased by her husband. Survivors include her brother, Robert Lee Walker of Tesuque, NM; and her nieces and nephews, Robert Craig Walker, Jan Walker Roenisch, John Craig Walker, David Walker, Steve Walker and Katy Walker Weber. A Memorial Service will be held July 6 at Trinity Church in Cornish, New Hampshire. Memorial contributions may be made to the Windsor Public Library, 43 State St., Windsor, VT, 05089.
