Thomas A. Tauch, age 63, of Sandwich, IL, entered eternal life on Friday, June 7, 2002. He was born on September 10, 1938 in Chicago, IL the son of Franz and Louise Tauch, nee Quasthoff. Thomas was united in marriage on May 25, 1985 at Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL to the former Janis Olesek Wallman. Thomas was employed as an electrician with Local 701. He was a private pilot and certified flight instructor. Mr. Tauch served his country in the United States Air Force. His passions were serving the Lord, loving his family and delighting in his grandchildren. Thomas was a gifted musician and his joy was serving on the Praise and Worship Team at Cross and living a life that reflected the love of Jesus. Mr. Tauch is survived by his wife, Janis Wallman Tauch; son, Thomas (Pamela) and grandchildren, Trevor Thomas, Nathan Alan and Amanda Jean Tauch; daughters, Kathy Jean Romano and Chantal (Aaron) Stott; sisters, Christine (Paul) Klingenschmitt, (children, Karin Chartrand and Franz (Melissa) Klingenschmitt) and Louise “Sugie” (Shawn) Murphy, (children, Sigfreid “Siggy” (Mary) Bedder and Renate Bergren); sister-in-law, Evelyn Tauch, (son, Peter; and his children, Ashley and Justin Tauch). He is also survived by his extended family and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Franz Tauch. Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2002 at the Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church in Yorkville. Interment will follow in the church Cemetery.
