I tried to wake up Mr. Ed Sherman five times when the USA upset Portugal 3-2 in the World Cup on Wednesday morning. Too bad he missed the excitement.
I know he cares little about soccer. But as a sports media writer at least he could research why the worldwide TV audience for the World Cup final is 20 times that of the Super Bowl, as mentioned by Mark Shapiro. Also, bad timing of TV broadcasts only happens to sports loved globally. Football never has a timing issue because it is played in only four time zones, not 24.
