Mildred Benson may have departed this life, but Nancy Drew will always live for those of us who relished each of her adventures–as Benson wrote them. Unfortunately, in more recent years, subsequent authors dumbed poor Nancy down (a word with more than two syllables was a no-no). Young people put a stop to the trend themselves by saying they preferred the original format. So Nancy will go on providing good reading for generations to come. Thanks, Mildred.
