Cecile Stern Bowen, 90, passed away June 11, 2002 in Phoenix, AZ. She was born April 22, 1912 in Evanston, IL. She was a kindergarten and 5th grade teacher with the Winnetka Public School System in Winnetka, IL for 25 years. She moved to Phoenix from Kenilworth, IL in 1980. She is preceded in death by her husband, Llewellyn Bowen (1955) and a daughter, Barbara Johnson (1985). She is survived by her daughter, Katherine Coath (Richard); son-in- law, Robert Johnson (Terry); grandchildren, Taylor Stuckslager, Michael Stuckslager (Katey), Timothy Johnson (Sara), Brian Johnson (Noelle) and Eric Johnson and great-grandchildren, Annie Stuckslager, Kate Stuckslager, Connor Stuckslager, Natalie Stuckslager, Sammy Johnson, Emma Johnson and Caroline Johnson. Memorial Services will be Thursday, June 13, 2002, 2 p.m. at Trinity Cathedral, 100 W. Roosevelt, Phoenix, AZ 85003. There will also be a Memorial Service held in the greater Chicago area at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Trinity Cathedral or to Save the Children Foundation, 54 Wilton Rd., Westport, CT 06880. Arrangements by Hansen Mortuary.
