Grace E. Kinross, 94, a homemaker and former office manager, died of congestive heart failure on Friday, June 7, in her Buffalo Grove home. She was born and raised on Chicago’s West Side. She graduated from business school and became an office manager. In the 1930s she worked at Sunbeam Corp. and in the 1940s at the Reichel & Drews Inc. roofing products firm, both in Chicago. “No matter what she always saw the bright side of things. She never complained,” said her daughter, Evy Markowski. She was a bowler, golfer and member of the Wheeling Seniors Center, and she enjoyed crocheting afghans, her daughter said. Other survivors include two sisters, Genrose Carlson and Loretta Houghton; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in Kingswood United Methodist Church, 401 W. Dundee Rd., Buffalo Grove, followed immediately by a service in the church.
