Marcia Ida Fennessy, age 93, died Feb. 7, 2002 in Pasadena, CA. She was born Feb. 26, 1908 in Chicago, the daughter of Maurice Richard Fennessy and Ida Alvind Volkmann. She received a B.A. in Fine Arts, Phi Beta Kappa and an M.A. in Art Education, both from the University of Southern California. She lectured and taught art in Honolulu and Pasadena. Many persons mourn the loss of a fine lady – their cousin, friend or teacher. There were no services per her request. Cremation took place Feb. 23, 2002, with ashes interred May 21 in the Volkmann family plot, Graceland Cemetery, Chgo.
