Robert A. Olson, age 79, of Streamwood, beloved husband of Lorraine, nee Quinn; loving father of Lauren (Paul) Hespen, Douglas (Christina) Olson, Christopher (Kelly) Olson, Deborah (Chris) Ewert and Mark Olson; dear grandfather of Robert, Julia, Mark, Phil, Danny, Christopher, Michael, Kyle, Lindsey, Colin, Erin, Ray and Brendan; brother of Virginia Rezeb and Russell Olson. Robert was an Army Veteran of WWII and spent most of his enlistment in Jamaica. He started off his life after the Army training to be an opera singer. There he met Lorraine, whom he married Aug. 20, 1949. Robert has always had a passion for his grandchildren and Chicago sports teams, especially the Bears and Bulls. Memorial Services Saturday 10 a.m. at Church of the Redeemer, 40 Center St., Elgin.
