Gilbert John Kopecky, born April 22, 1951, passed away June 11, 2002, at Fairview Palliative Care Unit in Downers Grove, beloved husband of Menda Meyers, nee Schimmel, Kopecky; loving son of Virginia and the late Arthur Kopecky; dear brother of Les and Doug Kopecky; devoted stepfather of Michelle (Frank) Bruno, Lori Pawlowski, Jillian Meyers, Angela Ford and Kelly Linton; adoring stepgrandfather of Abbey Bruno; treasured uncle of Steve and Jeff Kopecky.
