Kobe Bryant and Jason Kidd, among others, should have used more thought in answering the question of who would you want to build a team around in Sam Smith’s “Heroes of Yesteryear Quickly Fade” (Tribune, June 7). They picked Shaquille O’Neal over Michael Jordan, which raised the question, “Are you guys crazy?”
In an NBA Finals Game 7 with your team down one and five seconds left, who do you want to have the ball? Jordan, who could create his own clutch shot, or Shaq, who needs time to get into a good position and someone to get him the ball?
