I am not one to follow every move of royals or movie stars, but “The queen’s handbag” (Tempo, June 7) was appalling. It is no wonder that there was no editor listed.
There are precious few royals with any integrity, good judgment, presence and refinement. To take Queen Elizabeth, who is all of the above, and ridicule her in this manner is inappropriate, inexcusable and in the worst of taste. I was embarrassed for all of us.
How in God’s name did something like this get published in a “respectable” newspaper?
