In “Gore attacks values of Bush administration” (News, June 9), Tribune national correspondent Jeff Zeleny wrote the phrase, “[Al] Gore, who narrowly lost the presidency to Bush . . . ” The necessity to convey information accurately requires a more complete statement. A possible wording is: “Gore, who won the popular vote but was not the one selected by the Supreme Court in a highly contested state election . . . ” The highly questionable way in which the current administration took power should never be forgotten.
