The Plan Commission has recommended that the Village Board approve a final plat for the second phase of the Emerald Hills subdivision.
Emerald Hills II would consist of 50 homes, down from the original 58 because of concerns about flooding and so more homes can be built with three-car garages. The property wraps around Streamwood High School and is between the school and Streamwood Oaks golf course.
The four- and five-bedroom homes of 3,500 to more than 6,000 square feet will cost from $365,000 to more than $700,000.
Builder Carl Bongiovanni of Emerald Hills must resolve 39 issues to the village engineer’s satisfaction by Monday for the Village Board to consider the final plat on July 18.
