Police have arrested four teenagers in connection with the severe beating of a 20-year-old Knollwood man outside his home after he would not allow them to join his barbecue party, and more arrests are expected, officials said Thursday.

The four, all 18, are from Lake Bluff, Lake Forest and Riverwoods.

They are accused of showing up uninvited May 31 at the man’s home in the 1100 block of Quassey Avenue, police said. The man asked the teens to leave, but they later returned and allegedly attacked the man.

He suffered three broken ribs and a collapsed lung, and he needed 17 stitches in his mouth, said Sgt. Gary Govekar of the Lake County Sheriff’s Department.

Rajko Bozic, 18, of the 200 block of Rivers Drive, and Randall E. Daniels, 18, of the 600 block of Thorn Valley Lane, both in Lake Bluff; and Dang A.C. Lundquist, 18, of the 400 block of Wisconsin Avenue, Lake Forest, were charged with aggravated battery and mob action, Govekar said.

Joseph Kim, 18, of the 0-100 block of Columbine Lane, Riverwoods, was charged with mob action, Govekar said.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested the teens June 10, Govekar said. They have been released on bond, he said.

“We do expect further arrests,” Govekar said.
