President Bush promises to take the war to the terrorists and the countries that support them, but he expends more energy on scrambling the bureaucracy. We don’t need a new cabinet-level department. This is akin to rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Mucking about with the federal paper-pushers will do nothing to ensure our liberty. Just bring back the Department of War and turn it loose. The best defense is a solid offense.
