Meotha Turner Jones, 97, on June 18, 2002, at 12:28 p.m., Meotha “Kittye” made her transition at her home in Washington, DC. Formerly of Chicago, IL, she relocated to Washington in 1991 to live with her daughter. A beloved and devoted wife of the late James Jones and mother of the late James Turner Jones and Alvin Eugene Jones. She is survived by her only daughter, Josephine “Jo” Valeria Jones; a half brother, Dawson B. Samples of Forest Park, IL; a daughter-in-law; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren of the Chicago Metro area; two stepdaughters of Decatur, IL; other relatives and a multitude of loving and caring friends.
