A month after arresting one of the president’s sons in a bribery probe, a warrant was sought for another sibling on similar charges.
Kim Hong Up, the second-oldest of President Kim Dae Jung’s three sons, is caught up in the latest scandal to embarrass the Korean leader in his last months in office. His arrest is expected Friday; his brother, Kim Hong Gul, was taken into custody May 18.
Prosecutors accuse Hong Up of receiving $1.8 million from companies in exchange for his influence in the government.
