Arthur L. Goble, age 79, of Park Ridge, who was born June 20, 1922 in Clinton, Iowa, died on June 18, 2002. He was the beloved husband of Gerd; dear father of Roger (Pam) Goble and Janet (Rich) Ide; cherished grandfather of Ryan Goble, Karin Ide, Richard Ide (predeceased), Kristin Goble, Lisbeth Goble, Michael Ide and Blake Goble; he had six brothers and one sister; he was predeceased by his brothers, John (Mella), Fred (Ruth), Bob (Grace), Wayne (Marion), and Chester (Grace); he is survived by his brother Ralph (Lorraine) and sister Eleanor (Bill) Holmes. After serving in the 28th Division of the U.S. Army in France in WWII he came home to marry, raise his family, and earn a degree in accounting from DePaul University. He was married for fifty-seven years. A memorial service will be held on July 27, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. in the Wittenberg Chapel in Luther Village, Arlington Heights, IL. Memorials in lieu of flowers to the Association for Research of Childhood Cancer, P.O.
