Evaluating the impact female suicide bombers have on the feminist movement is perhaps the most shortsighted, presumptuous and wrongheaded distortion of the issue one can imagine (“Wrongheadedness of female suicide bombers,” Commentary, June 18).

Blowing yourself up is a disturbing indictment of a society and its leaders.

It is sick, sad and terrifying.

I doubt the families of the victims of the World Trade Center attacks and the Israelis who have died at the hands of terrorists care much for bringing the feminist debate to the funeral.

Regular Americans shouldn’t either.
