John M. Gaffney O’Donnell, 44, of Tonka Bay, MN, formerly of Lombard and Glen Ellyn, died on June 20, 2002, preceded in death by his natural father John Gaffney and adoptive father Dan O’Donnell; survived by loving wife Susan; stepdaughter Shelby; faithful pet Guinness; mother Janet O’Donnell; siblings Mike (Priscilla) O’Donnell, Tim (Laura) O’Donnell, Beth (Harry) Staunton and Katie (Wayne) Schricker; grandmother Veronica Gaffney; and many adoring nieces and nephews. John was an avid sportsman with a particular love of the Canadian outdoors. He leaves behind a loving family and many friends. Memorial service Saturday June 29, 2002 at 10 a.m. at St. Daniel The Prophet, 101 West Loop Road, Wheaton. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Cardinal Stritch Foundation For The Deaf wouid be appreciated.
