Thank you to staff reporter Alan Solomon for “Prince Edward idylls; Scenes from an island where the usual rules don’t quite apply” (Travel, June 23). As an islander working so far from home, it is wonderful to read about PEI. I hope you have a chance to return someday soon and that others will take your advice and visit.
I did notice that you neglected to mention the wonderful provincial parks that offer camping facilities during the summer, most situated on or near beaches. The island touches you forever–almost as long as it takes to get the red dirt out of your white clothing.
