William J. Silverman, a 50 year resident of Park Forest, passed away at his home on June 27, beloved husband of the late Lynne H. Silverman; dearest father of Sandy (Don) Dixon, Pam (Douglas) Robbins, Debbie (Sergio) Mendez and James (Barb) Silverman; fond brother of Hazel Hoffman; loving grandfather of Ben, Jessica, Scott, Douglas, Megan, Andy and Emily. Mr. Silverman was born on Sept. 4, 1916 in Minneapolis, MN. Employed at Michael Reese Hospital for 18 years, serving as Executive Director from 1960-1970. Also employed as Director of Cook County Hospital for eight years, retiring from hospital administration in 1980.
