Danny Almonte, the New York pitcher embroiled in an age scandal, is looking for a high school with a strong baseball program.
Almonte, whose team was forced to forfeit its third-place finish in the Little League World Series last summer after officials determined he was 14 instead of 12, graduated last month from Bronx Middle School 52. He turned 15 in April.
Rolando Paulino, his coach and guardian, said Almonte has narrowed his choices to Lehman in the Bronx, a private school in Brooklyn and George Washington High School in Manhattan, which produced baseball star Manny Ramirez.
