In “What smokers deserve to know” (Commentary, July 7), Joseph L. Bast states that if he considers quitting his longtime habit, “the do-gooders will have won.”
Surely Bast is not “too stupid or addicted” to realize that by quitting, he will be the biggest winner of all.
