Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
One solution to baseball’s All-Star Game player “shortage” is to allow a unique substitution rule for the game. A lifted player should be allowed to return after seven innings. This way, extra-inning games could feature the starters at crunch time. Lifted pitchers would have ample time to rewarm their arms, with minimal chance of injury since a returning pitcher would probably pitch only one inning. The roster should be exhausted before such substitutions are allowed.
