Brief delays are expected on the Red Line from 10 p.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Sunday while crews wash walls, the Chicago Transit Authority said.
During the cleaning, all trains will use a single track between Clark/Division and Grand, said CTA spokeswoman Anne McCarthy. Trains will operate every 20 minutes.
In addition, three bus lines will be detoured until midnight Saturday because of the closing of King Drive between 46th and 48th Streets for the Roots Festival, McCarthy said.
The No. 3 bus will be detoured via 46th Street, Prairie Avenue and 48th Street in both directions. The No. 28 will operate via St. Lawrence, 46th and Prairie to 47th Street in both directions. The No. 47 bus will travel on Indiana Avenue, 46th and Prairie to 47th Street.
