I want to compliment Rick Morrissey on a well-written, interesting column in the July 29 Trib about Rev. Burke Masters. It is striking to see the sacrifices people are willing to make to follow God. It made me think. I had to ask myself if I was capable of that measure of commitment.
With so many bad and seemingly selfish decisions witnessed in sports, Rev. Masters’ life is a striking contrast. I’d like to think he was right about Cubs fans too.
