Dry days are hindering a village flood mitigation study.
Trustees voted Monday to authorize additional funds for the study as consultants wait for rain.
In February the Village Board voted to spend about $120,000 on a study.
The dry weather has prevented consultants from collecting much data from monitors in the sewer systems.
Board members voted to authorize up to $21,000 in additional funds, $3,000 for every week monitoring equipment must be maintained.
If enough rain falls to produce sufficient data before the end of the seven-week period, the village would only be charged $3,000 per week.
