Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

LE TIGRE: Kathleen Hanna and Le Tigre tear it up with a graceful style of hard-hitting tunes that reference her Bikini Kill past without relying upon it. Be sure to get there early enough to catch Erase Errata. 9 p.m. Monday, Metro, 3730 N. Clark St. $14; 312-559-1212.

MIRO ZBIRKA: It’s always a delight to encounter a performer like Miro Zbirka who is brilliant, but completely unknown to most Westerners. This is rock and roll from Czechoslovakia Zbirka, who has been called “the Slovak Lennon.” Noon Thursday, Daley Plaza, Washington and Dearborn Streets. Free; 312-744-8074.

E3: Artistic collaboration is the buzzword of the second in this series, that merges sound, film and video art. Linked to the “My Reality” Japanese anime exhibition, e3 also features a Butoh dance performance by Marianne Kim. 7 p.m. Thursday, Chicago Cultural Center, 77 E. Randolph St. Free; 312-744-6630.

CHEAP TRICK: It’s not just the group’s “Budokan” disc. Cheap Trick has been churning out marvelous, hook-laden rock tunes for decades. 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Navy Pier Skyline Stage, 600 E. Grand Ave. $27.50-$32.50; 312-559-1212.

JUCIFER: Bring earplugs, because you’ll need them. The best way to describe the output of Amber Valentine and Ed Livengood, is a towering edifice of melody, laced with jagged sonic spikes. It’s loud and lovely. Advance buzz is also quite positive on Bible of the Devil’s musical heaviness. 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Empty Bottle, 1035 N. Western Ave. $7; 773-276-3600.

THEATER

“CURIOUS GEORGE GOES TO WAR”: Director Ron West’s effort delivers in its approaching political satire from a leftist point of view. But the best parts of West’s revue come when he and his cast find broader themes. Open run, Second City e.t.c., 1608 N. Wells St. $17; 312-337-3992.
