The Community and Economic Committee has endorsed a plan for 68 townhouses in 14 buildings north of Algonquin Road and West of Roselle Road.
The townhouses, which would have high-pitched roofs, ornate chimneys and large windows, have been proposed by the Fontenay Group of Inverness.
The gated community would be called Maison Le Comte. The two- and three-bedroom homes would be priced at $400,000 to $600,000.
The Village Council is expected to vote Monday on the proposal.
