Michael James Walsh, 66, of Kailua-Kona, HI, died at the Kona Community Hospital on June 9, 2002. He was born in Sligo, Ireland on November 5, 1935. He is survived by his brothers Marty and Sean, and sisters, Monica, Peggy, Bridie, Patty and Frances, and their spouses. He also leaves cousins, nephews and nieces. He emigrated to England, Canada, and then the United States where he retired from the State of Illinois as an engineer. He was also a builder and developer with the goal of building affordable housing. He moved to KailuaKona, Hawaii upon his retirement, where he was an active member at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. His remains were buried at his birthplace of Sligo, Ireland.
