NFL Blitz 2K3 (GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox, $50)
This over-the-top, arcade-style football franchise just keeps getting better. The game is filled with late hits and lots of trash talk. Improved from last year to make the single-player mode even better.

A solid title with impressive graphics and gameplay. Any college football fan would be happy with this game. Its only weakness is that it lacks the depth of NCAA Football 2003.
The rest
NFL Fever 2003 (Xbox, $50)
A solid, entertaining title with few new features from last year’s version. The arcade-style football game is worth renting but fails to live up to its high-profile competitors.
Gameday 2003 (PlayStation 2, $50)
A mediocre title with decent gameplay and graphics. Much improved from last year, the game suffers most because of its top-notch competitors.
NCAA GameBreaker 2003 (PlayStation 2, $50)
Easily the weakest football release of the year. Game offers all the basics and little else. The graphics are mediocre and the gameplay is unbalanced.
