Tired as I am of reading the “dirty laundry” stories about individuals, it was a relief to see the report that Bob Greene did not take the coward’s way out and deny his alleged involvement with a young woman years ago. Although what he did was unethical and immoral–not illegal–accusations and consequences could have been handled internally within the confines of the Tribune hierarchy. Aside from my personal bias toward a favorite columnist, I think Greene should get the same punishment as Jesse Jackson, Bill Cosby and Bill Clinton.
