Letter writer Josh Isenberg’s “Goofy English” (Voice of the people, Sept. 16) was great.

His list of popular language goofs is a good start.

I would add the absence of the adverb:

“He played good” is commonly used, instead of “he played well.”

I hope you will continue making light of incorrect grammar before we lose our grip on the king’s English.
