Thanks to Rick Morrissey for the column about Todd Hundley. As a Cubs fan for 37 years I have been embarrassed and ashamed of the way the “boo-birds” have treated one of our native sons. I don’t believe a true Cubs fan would be that cruel. Todd came home with the dream of playing for the team he grew up with and continuing in his dad’s footsteps. He had a rough start and the people in the stands (I won’t call them fans) didn’t give him a chance after that. I’m still hopeful that he will continue to be a Cub, but I hope he finds happiness and appreciation wherever he plays next year.
