The birds are gone! Take an entire day and look into the sky, at the tops of trees and buildings, into shrubs, around road kill and garbage dumps. Try to find one robin, blue jay or a dreaded, annoying crow. Can you hear the silence? Is this the sound of death by the West Nile virus? I think so. Boy do I miss those annoying crows.
