Glen D. Dahling, 87, of Carpentersville, formerly of Port Richey, FL, born May 18, 1915, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, devoted husband for 54 years of Florentine “Boots”, nee Sooman; beloved father of Gayle (Ron) Davis of South Barrington; cherished grandfather of Kenn, Robin and Jennifer Veach; loving brother-in-law of Barbara (the late Albert) Diestel, Harry (Annette) Sooman and Alex (Marguarite) Sooman; fond uncle of Donald; and loyal friend to many. Preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Adelia, nee Dege, Dahling; and his brothers, Lester and Emil. The family will receive friends on Friday, Oct. 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 Palatine Road, Inverness.
