In the 18th Century, the British viewed themselves as the ordering, civilizing force in the world, a position they believed was justified by their military, economic and moral superiority.

They made the rules for the world, and the world would just have to abide by them. That is the attitude we revolted against.

Our King George and his administration have precisely the same view. Is it any wonder that others revolt against it?
