If we were to allow Saddam Hussein to let United Nations inspectors into Iraq again after “discussions on logistics,” there is every indication conditions would be raised all over again, and we would be right back where we started.

If, in fact, we are a military and economic superpower, I submit we should certainly consult with the United Nations and other countries, but we should always be prepared to act in a timely fashion.

In laying the foundation to act unilaterally, I believe that President Bush is primarily an internationalist, but he is prepared to act unilaterally and that is leadership based upon the strength of our country.
