A mother who gained notoriety for breast-feeding her 8-year-old son and sleeping in the same bed with him may have created a harmful home environment for him.
Champaign County Judge John DeLaMar on Tuesday ordered an investigation of Lynn Stuckey, 34, after deciding that she and her son have more of a co-equal relationship than that of a mother and son.
DeLaMar said the case was not about the breast-feeding or sleeping arrangements. It was about her need to set boundaries, he said.
Stuckey said the boy stopped breast-feeding this summer.
