Beloved husband of Patricia, nee O’Connell; devoted son of the late Mary and John Donaldson, Newark, OH; fond son-in-law of the late Rosemary and Daniel O’Connell; loving brother of Carole Carpenter and Joseph; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Charter member of the U.S. LST Association. Member of the Ohio LST Amphibs Association. Past Commander of James G. Brophy Post #195. Member of the American Legion, Commodore Barry Post #256, Knights of Columbus Council #731 and Elks Lodge #391. Visitation Tuesday Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Olson/Burke-Sullivan Funeral Home, 6467 N. Northwest Hwy (1 block north of Devon) Chicago. Following visitation a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 4646 N. Austin Ave. Chicago, at 11 a.m. Interment private.
