Two people in charge of a St. Louis AIDS agency were fired after using public money to pay a gay-porn star to appear at an event promoting safe sex, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
The director of Blacks Assisting Blacks Against AIDS, Erise Williams Jr., and senior director James Green hired porn star Edgar Gaines, whose film name is Bobby Blake, to speak at a July event. Gaines was paid $500 from a federal anti-syphilis grant, the agency said. Gaines appeared at the event wearing a towel and boots.
