– The maximum speed limit on Lake Shore Drive between Hollywood Avenue and Oak Street has been reduced to 40 m.p.h from 45 m.p.h. “to protect the median landscaping from winter road de-icing spray,” according to the city. The lowered speed limit will be in effect until April 1.

– The Chicago Board of Trade has put up a yellow 2003 Mini Cooper S for bid on eBay through 4 p.m. Tuesday. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Chicago Board of Trade Foundation, which provides financial support to a number of non-profit agencies serving the Chicago area. At retail, the Cooper S is priced from $19,975. All biding will take place via the eBay Charity page, www.ebay.com/cbot.
