Thomas Turek, 83, of Wadsworth, OH. Died suddenly Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at Doylestown Health Care Center surrounded by his family. Mr. Turek was born in Chicago, IL and resided in the Wadsworth area for the past 15 years. He was a porter at Goldblatt’s Department Store for 35 years and a member of St. Peter Canisius Catholic Church in Chicago. Mr. Turek is survived by sister, Mary Penska of Wadsworth; and numerous nieces and nephews that loved him. He was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Mary Houska Turek; brothers Joseph, James and John.The family will receive friends tonight 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hilliard & Mullaney Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, OH. Funeral Mass Saturday, 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 272 Broad St., Wadsworth, OH. Chapel service Monday 2:30 p.m. at St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles, IL.
