Louise “Lou” Blumenthal, died peacefully on Dec. 21, 2002 at the age of 89, beloved wife of 40 years to the late Herbert J. Blumenthal; mother of Elaine (Ole) Jensen, the late Lynette (late Robert) Kempa and the late Lawrence Blumenthal (Lynn Guazzo); special sister, mother-in-law, aunt and friend; proud grandmother of Kirsten (Kurt) Carlson, Sonja (Dan) Ceisel, Dawn (John) Brunner, Robbin Taggart, Jodi Kempa and the late Andy Kempa; she was proudest of her great-grandchildren Eryk, Hans, Danielle, and Christopher. Louise lived her life with a smile on her face, love in her heart and a gentle strength, which we all admired. We surprised Louise with a Christmas celebration on Dec. 8. She shared her loving words of thanks and admiration to us all for such a joyous day. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2 p.m. at The Danish Home, 5656 N.
