Virginia C. McQueen, nee Schmitt, November 5, 1913-December 29, 2002. Virginia C. McQueen, 89, of Mt. Prospect, IL passed away after a brief illness on December 29, 2002. Virginia was born on November 5, 1913 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Nicholas Henry Schmitt and Mary Clara Bultinck Schmitt. She was preceded in death by her husband James Ronald McQueen in 1983. She is survived by her children Suzanne (Phil) Sylvester, Kathryn Tector, Timothy (Michele) McQueen; seven grandchildren Barb (Lou) Coury, Jim (Sue) Markwiese, Jane (John) Goeke, Kevin (Carmen) Tector, Denise Tector, Kariann Tector, William (Amy) McQueen; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Raymond De Pentafort Parish in Mt. Prospect where she was an active member of the St. Raymond Senior Citizens. For 10 years she was Treasurer of the Central Village Condominium Association. She was a member of the Senior Center of Mt. Prospect, the Senior Advisory Council of Mt. Prospect and the Grandmothers Club. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday January 18, 2003 at St. Raymond in Mt. Prospect. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Purdue Cancer Research Center.
