This is regarding “2 cops allegedly switched price tags” (Metro, Dec. 31).
Why the double standard?
Saks finds cops switching price tags and declines to press charges.
What if the two were not cops?
Cops are given certain powers not granted to regular citizens, not the least of which is to use deadly force whenever they “feel” threatened. They must be held to a higher standard than the rest of us.
Whether these cops are charged should not be left to the whims of Saks.
Bad cops must be prosecuted and forever stripped of their authority if found guilty.
“Disciplinary action” is a joke unless it is prosecution.
