Dr. Edward Brandon Perkinson, age 62, of Hammond, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003 at home. Dr. Perkinson was born in Des Moines, IA, Aug. 27, 1940, son of the late Mark Brandon and Harriett, nee Geddy, Perkinson. He did his undergraduate work at Buena Vista College, IA, Masters at University of Iowa, and Doctorate at Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He is survived by his wife Judith E. A., nee Myres, Perkinson; sons Christopher B. Perkinson of Hammond, William J. Sheets of Hammond and Jeffrey A. Sheets of Hammond; granddaughter Savannah Boyle of Munster; two brothers Peter J. (Dixie) Perkinson of Las Vegas, NV and John S. (Karen) Perkinson of Independence, MO; and father-in-law William H. Myres of Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with family on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003 from 2 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home. Officiating will be Father Francis Lazar. Dr. Perkinson was a Clinical Psychologist in the Chicago Area since 1964. He was a member of the American Psychological Association, the Illinois Psychological Association, and the Indiana Psychological Association. An avid sportsman and boater, he was a member of the Greater Kankakee Hunt Club and the Michigan City Rod and Gun Club. He was active in the boating community at Washington Park Marina for over 20 years. Dr. Perkinson recently retired from The Calumet Group, Inc. of Hammond, IN.
