An article in the Dec. 27 Tribune said that Brag Bowling, the Virginia commander of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans, objected to placing a statue of Abraham Lincoln in Richmond, calling it “a slap in the face of a lot of brave men and women who went through four years of unbelievable hell fighting an invasion of Virginia led by President Lincoln.”
And this got me wondering.
If the American government placed a statue of Franklin Roosevelt at Dachau concentration camp, would the “Sons of the Third Reich Veterans” object?
Or have the German people renounced their genocidal past?
