Everything that anyone could ask for was on display Monday night at Joe Louis Arena.

Great goals? Strange goals? Great saves? Stirring comeback? Some edgy, “in-your-face play”? Monday night had it all, except a Blackhawks victory. But the Hawks still did what they’ve been doing for over a month now–they collected a point in a thrilling 5-4 overtime loss to Detroit.

“Any time you get down in the third period to a team like Detroit and come back, that’s a good point,” defenseman Lyle Odelein said.

Defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom scored the game-winner with 47 seconds left in overtime when he jammed a rebound past goalie Michael Leighton.
